How-To: Hard Boiled Eggs

I talk a lot about eating protein at every meal and snack, which can be hard to do, especially at breakfast. I’ve found that hard boiled eggs are a great choice because they are fast and convenient. You can make some on Sunday and you’ll have a good option for breakfast for a few days. They also make great snacks! Pair a couple eggs with a bowl of oatmeal and you’ll start the day off on the right foot.

How-To: Hard Boiled Eggs:
1. Place 6 eggs in a pan
2. Add water so the eggs are covered by about an inch
3. Put the pan on the burner, turn the burner on high
4. Leave it UNCOVERED
5. Once the water starts boiling, set a timer for 10 minutes
6. The water should stay boiling the entire time, but turn it down a bit if it starts getting out of control
7. After 10 minutes, transfer the eggs to a bowl in the sink and run cool water over the eggs until they have cooled off (5 minutes or so)

Store in the refrigerator and peel and eat when you want. I usually put a little salt, pepper, and paprika on mine. Enjoy!
